The company is a new business providing high-quality, deep-frozen, hand-prepared seafood dishes and related supplies to a wide range of establishments, initially within East Africa, such as to hotels, game lodges, restaurants, supermarkets and other retail businesses, and eventually will export to similar markets within Europe, America and South Africa. The principal shareholders in the company combined experience, both within East Africa and Europe, lies in management, trade, customer service, and the high-end of the food industry. The business entails collection and purchase of seafood, such as crabs, prawns, lobster, squid, octopus and king-fish, from local fishermen based on the East African coastal region on the Indian Ocean. In addition the company purchases items such as eggs, dairy produce, and market garden produce from local producers. The raw produce is then processed into gourmet quality, preprepared seafood dishes, blast frozen and packaged for distribution to target markets. The company holds the following objectives: To operate a successful high-quality processed seafood manufacturing business with product distribution in the East Africa market in the first year and in the world market by year three; To become a recognized manufacturer / distributor of specialty processed seafood products and related supplies and services and to obtain a minimum of 100 regular customers in the East Africa market the first year of operation (the company already provides products to the various sectors of the tourist industry, as well as to several independent retailers throughout East Africa) ; To directly employ 50 to 100 employees the first year and 200 employees by year three and provide all important training for the food industry; To indirectly supply employment to numerous artisan fishermen and producers of local raw and processed products; To create and nurture a healthy, creative, mutually respectful and happy workshop and office environment in which employees are fairly compensated and encouraged to respect the customer and the quality of the product; To seek fair and responsible profit, enough to keep the company financially healthy for the long term and to fairly compensate shareholders and investors for their money and risk. The company believes the keys to its success will lie in: The creation of a strong three-way relationship between the local suppliers / producers, the employees involved in the processing of the product and the shareholders and investors in the Company; An uncompromising commitment to the quality of the end product; Successful niche marketing: to find the quality-conscious customer in the right channels, and ensuring that customers can find the company and its products.
